North America

I’d always wanted to go to America, but somehow didn’t manage it until I moved out there for a year..! I studied American Literature and Creative Writing at my university in Norwich, England, and part of the degree course was a year abroad in the States.

In August 2009, I moved to San Francisco, California, for my year abroad, where I studied at San Francisco State University until June the following year.

SF is a home from home for me, and with only 11 states visited, there’s no doubt that I’ll be back to America in the near future, whether its for more travelling or to visit friends who’ve moved out there.

Next time you visit North America you should come to Alaska! It is a truly epic and unique place.

Now I would definitely love to see Alaska, too! But don’t forget NYC when you return, you don’t have to favor the concrete jungle to enjoy it and you will never forget the experiences you can have there at any time of day or night! Love reading your blog.

Thanks Terrie! Actually I loved New York when I got there – three days simply wasn’t enough, and I’m resolved to make it back for a longer visit!

I realize this post it quite old, but it seems you haven’t returned as of yet. If you ever do, New England is the place to be. Especially in the fall! Breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe the vibrant colors and beauty in nature. From the oceans to the mountains, it is all in one place!

Thanks so much for the suggestion Laura! You’re right – I haven’t been back to the States for a long time but I’d love to go back in the fall 🙂
