October 19, 2012 at 3:31 pmwait…so they wrap their bodies with just one piece of clothing? I thought their saris were at least two-piece outfits. Wow!

October 23, 2012 at 2:19 pmYep – a piece of sari fabric is actually about 6 metres long and it wraps around the body three or four times! Then there’s two more pieces of the same material stitched into an underskirt and into a blouse which the woman wears underneath.
